Chong Qing Wharf Hot Pot 山城码头火锅 is a vibrant hot pot restaurant nestled in the heart of Brooklyn’s Fort Hamilton Parkway corridor, catering particularly well to groups and families looking for an immersive, all-you-can-eat dining experience. The space hums with a lively buzz—especially on weekend evenings—making it a solid spot for social gatherings where sharing and conversation flow as freely as the simmering broths.

What stands out here is the emphasis on freshness and variety, especially in the seafood department. Shrimps maintain a pleasing springy texture, shellfish come with a natural sweetness, and the seafood selection spans from delicate salmon sashimi to more adventurous items like lobster and even unusual offerings like 皮皮虾 (mantis shrimp). These ingredients shine brightest when cooked in the broth, which comes in flavorful options like spicy butter and mushroom, offering a balanced but exciting heat that doesn’t overpower the other components.

Beyond the food, the service rhythm helps shape the experience—you can join the waitlist easily online, then receive a call when your table is ready, which works well for busy weeknights. Staff members are attentive and familiar with regulars, lending a welcoming, almost neighborhood feel to the atmosphere. This level of service is important since hot pot is about pacing the meal together, and the team here helps keep everything running smoothly.

Drinks, including a range of bubble teas and a variety of refrigerated beverages, add a casual complement to the meal, perfect for cooling down the palate after spicy bites. The restaurant’s style leans functional but warm, encouraging lingering over plates and plenty of chatter without feeling overly formal or rushed.

Chong Qing Wharf is best suited for people who enjoy interactive dining, particularly groups of friends or families who appreciate quality seafood and meat options cooked right at the table. The best time to visit would be evenings after work or weekends when the atmosphere is at its liveliest, though weekday visits come with a bit more room and a quieter vibe. If you’re intrigued by a rich, multi-textured hot pot experience with a focus on fresh seafood and a solid range of drink choices, this Brooklyn hotspot fits the bill without fuss.

The seafood hot pot here is absolutely outstanding. All the ingredients are incredibly fresh the shrimp are firm and bouncy, and the shellfish are sweet and flavorful with no fishy taste at all. Once cooked in the broth, the natural freshness really shines through and elevates the entire hot pot experience. Warm, comforting, and deeply satisfying, this is a place that truly cares about quality. I would definitely come back again.

“I couldn’t really ask for a better hot pot experience.” Our party of 8 came in around 9:30 for a beautiful lovely hot pot experience, everything was so well prepared and came out quickly, the broths were wonderful- we got mushroom and spicy butter broth. Most stimulating food experience, it touched my heart and warmed us up from the inside. Mala spice on point. Love the drinks from the fridge too. The self serve sauces. Candies at the lobby. We also had fun measuring our height while waiting lol

Chong Qing Wharf Hot Pot is an excellent spot for anyone who enjoys all-you-can-eat dining. The food was fresh and very flavorful, making it a great place to share a meal with friends or family. The seafood selection was especially impressive, with plenty of options to enjoy either cooked in the hot pot or eaten raw. The salmon, in particular, stood out—it was better than what I’ve had at most other places. Overall, I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fun and delicious dining experience.

Chong Qing Wharf Hot Pot is an AYCE hot pot restaurant that offers fresh foods from meats to sashimi to seafood to veggies, a great variety of unlimited drinks and most of all, excellent service! We simply joined their waitlist on Google Maps and waited for their phone call that our table was ready. We haven't come for a long time but upon arriving, Tammy greeted us and immediately remembered us! And most special of all, she remembered our Baby! Shows how much they value their customers We enjoyed all the different food options including fruits, meats, sashimi, seafood, veggies and desserts. They give you an option after you're seated between lobster, geoduck or a sashimi platter. Their price is more expensive compared to other AYCE hot pot places but we appreciate the freshness of their foods and the many options we can choose from. Everyone that works here are really friendly and works very efficiently. Every time we asked for something, we got it pretty fast. Ricky was one of the few people who took care of our table and they were great! We appreciate them making sure everything was good especially with our Baby throughout our dinner. As parents, we're super happy when any place shows extra care to our Baby. We had a great experience dining here and would definitely recommend this!

A lot of selections of fresh seafood and good soup broth! The staff was very nice and friendly. A lot of drink selections in the fridges from soda, tea, juice, and more. Surprisingly they had ayce durian! It was hit or miss some pieces but a good addition. Would skip on the desserts. Bring cash and they will give you free made to order drinks to go! They sing happy birthday to some tables with a speaker and cardboard cutout which was fun!

Best all you can eat hot pot place ever, tons choice of fresh seafood including lobster, meat and veggie. we have been to their NJ Edison location too, but nothing can beat the Brooklyn Location. If you ever crave for fresh seafood, this is the best place within reasonable price range. Great service too.

This hotpot place was actually really good. I got the classic Yuan Yang pot half spicy half butter broth and both sides were super flavorful. The spicy side had a solid kick but wasn’t harsh and the butter broth was rich and smooth. All the ingredients were fresh especially the seafood. The clams crab legs shrimp and fish all tasted clean and high quality. The dipping sauces were fun too and I really liked the sesame plus chili powder combo. Overall the experience was great. Service was quick the table stayed clean and the pot kept a steady heat the whole time. It’s a great spot to eat with friends or whenever you just want a comforting hotpot meal. Definitely coming back Highly recommend.
